Callum Brae Nature Reserve

A surprising good reserve. I wasn't expecting much, but on a beautiful Autumn morning it was a pleasure to walk. A bit thistlely on the more open parts, but the track that loops around the reserve is an easy walk. There are a few hills, but nothing to demanding. There are a few interesting pieces of Woden history, including views of Callum Brae farm, and, interestingly, three powder magazines (now empty) that used to hold the explosives for blasting at the nearby quarry. Plenty of birdlife, a haven for local parrot breeds, and a few kangaroos.
